The preliminary violin auditions jury invites the following 23 competitors to perform in Round I of the XV International Tchaikovsky Competition: Andersen, Christopher Tun; Avstrikh, Daniil; Balanas, Kristine; Conunova, Alexandra; Jang Yoo Jin; Kang, Clara-Jumi; Khukhua, Igor; Kim Bomsori; Kim Jee Won; Kim, Stephen Jee Won; Kim Younguk; Kishima, Mayu; Korzhenevich, Elena; Lukiyanenko, Tikhon; Milyukov, Pavel; Mo, Boson; Park Kyumin; Pospelov, Sergey; Starikov, Stepan; Tarara, Stefan; Tchumburidze, Veriko; Tseng, Yu-Chien; and Zhelezny, Leonid. In addition to those competitors, violinists Lyubov Stekolshchikova and Haik Kazazyan have been cleared for Round I without preliminary auditions. The preliminary auditions were held on June 12-14 at the Concert Hall of the Central Music School. The jury for violin preliminary auditions included Liana Isakadze, Boris Kuschir, Ilya Kaler, Maxim Fedotov, and Vera Tsu Wei Ling.
