The preliminary cello auditions jury invites the following 22 competitors to perform in Round I of the XV International Tchaikovsky Competition: Amosov, Fedor; Cho, Brannon; Cornut, Tristan; Crawford, John Henry; Elschenbroich, Leonard; Ferrández, Pablo; Haga, Sandra Lied; He, Sihao; Ioniță, Andrei; Kang Seung Min; Kobekina, Anastasia; Lim Hee Young; Ni Tao; Bruno, Philippe; Roozeman, Jonathan; Cañon Valencia, Santiago; Sendetsky, Ivan; Stadler, Alexey; Szabó, Ildikó; Ueno, Michiaki; Worlitzsch, Valentino; Zhilin, Alexei. In addition to those competitors, cellists Alexander Buzlov, Alexander Ramm and Rustem Khamidullin have been cleared for Round I without preliminary auditions. The preliminary auditions for cello were held on June 13-15 at the Concert Hall of the Central Music School. The jury for cello preliminary auditions included Alexander Kniazev, Martti Rousi, Sergei Roldugin, and Wolfgang Boettcher.
