Two Tchaikovsky Piano Concerts Performed in Moscow in the Original Edition

On February 8, the Great Hall of the Moscow Conservatory hosted the performance of an absolutely unique program by the Moscow State Academic Symphony Orchestra conducted by Pavel Kogan and the pianist Nikita Galaktionov. Perhaps for the first time in history, Piano Concert No.1 and Piano Concert No.2 by P.I. Tchaikovsky were performed as part of one concert in the way the composer intended them rather than the adapted version of A.I. Zilotti we are familiar with. The concert was conducted by Mikhail Tsinman, Artistic Director of the Bolshoi Theater Chamber Orchestra.

It was dedicated to the 20th anniversary of Diplomatic Workers' Day, which was established by the Decree of the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin dated October 31, 2002.
