The results of the Second round of the XVII International Tchaikovsky Competition for the specialty Cello have been announced
Upon the Jury's decision, the following cellists are qualified for the Third round:
Stepanov Vasily (Russia)
Lee Dongyeol (South Korea)
Zaitseva Maria (Russia)
Lee Youngeun (South Korea)
Sendetckii Ivan (Russia)
Park Sanghyeok (South Korea)
Jury have selected 2 of the best participants of the Second round that did not advance into the finals, to receive a diploma and a $1000.00 prize:
Vladyko Danila (Russia)
Kang Yeeun (South Korea)
2 of the best accompanists will be awarded a diploma and a $1000.00 prize:
Jiwon Ahn (South Korea)
Vitaly Egorov (Russia)
12 contestants participated in the Second round in the specialty Cello, held from the 23th till 24nd of June at the Glinka Small Hall of the St. Petersburg Philharmonia. The Third round of the competition's auditions, where the contestants will be accompanied by an orchestra, will start on June 27, 2023. It will take place in the The Grand Hall of the St. Petersburg Philharmonia
