This is for the fourth time that I become the member of the Violin Competition jury (my first time was in 1978) and I can see а certain evolution. Guess what makes the difference between the today’s competitors and their predecessors? Today, many of the competitors demonstrate high-class skill being quite young. This is the trend with the young musicians from the South-East Asia (Japan, China, Коrеа and Taiwan) who are largely represented at our Competition. Their passion for what they do is really amazing and they strive to learn from the best teachers of the world.
